I have to stop there because I actually have no idea what Rob was trying to do in that last picture.

But how about THAT cottage magic though, eh?  Uncle Rob chopping wood!  Who thought they'd ever see THAT on here?

Don't let that last shot fool you, either!  Dude brought his A-game!  I don't know how many he ended up chopping but he provided!


Rob and Deb came by on the weekend of September 28th to see the changing colours in the 'hood.  There had been less of that than expected though, at least in our little area.  They're coming over for another try this Saturday but just for the late morning and afternoon (they have a commitment on Sunday).

Christine is probably right about one thing though; timing will be everything.  One week the trees will be beautifully coloured, the next we'll be elbow-deep in leaves.

I haven't been out there since that weekend, but we're extending Thanksgiving slightly, leaving Thursday afternoon and returning Monday some time.  Here's where we stand now:
