Water:
You're probably one of those divas who insists on having running water wherever you go. Here's how you go about setting that up, Mariah.
The water is drawn from the lake. The pump needs to plugged in. The plug is under the BBQ deck, on the water side (picture to come). Once in there, there's another door to open on your right. There's a light switch under there if it's too dark to see.
You're probably one of those divas who insists on having both hot AND cold water. Let's hook you up, J-Lo! There's a panel in the living room, by the entrance to the kitchen on the road side. Flip the black light switch (the one that looks like a regular house light switch) and absolutely nothing else.
Important: Do things in their proper order. The pump has to be plugged in, THEN the heater turned on. Same thing when you leave. Turn off the water heater, then the pump, in that order.
We have a holding tank under the driveway that has to be pumped out when full. The importance of that is that we want as little water as possible going down the drains. That means:
- When washing dishes, dirty water is collected in the white plastic bin. All such excess water is dumped into the red bucket, then thrown into the garden on the BBQ deck side.
- Turn off the water while you're brushing your teeth. For that matter, do that at home, too. ;-)
- Showers are limited to two minutes max.
