We've hit the Sisterlode!

Sweet!  Christine recently remembered that we had several unopened boxes in the garage of intended-for-a-cottage-some-day stuff, donated by Kathy years ago.  She started going through them and found a gold mine!

OK, maybe it was more like a linen closet...

It has apparently been established that the bathroom will have a fish theme because...we now have a lot of stuff with fish on it. And we have dishes that we are happier with than most of what was left behind.  The original stuff is certainly functional, but you know...rainbow mugs.

The containers are also good for hiding cookies.

This was all very motivating to deal with a specific problem right away.  The shower at the cottage is ridiculously small.  Clark Kent used to change in a phone booth, but he would find showering at the cottage to be his greatest challenge ever.  This calamity is compounded by the fact that the doors open inwards so even if you can get into the shower, you need to be a Cirque du Soleil contortionist to close the doors again.

Christine cleverly thought of removing the doors altogether and putting up a curtain on a curved rod to add a little elbow room.  Damn, she's samrt!

So armed with our new curtain and a pile of dishes, we headed out to CFB Crow Lake, singing a merry tune, planning to begin work on this particular project.  Then once there, we found out we didn't have the right size of screwdriver and couldn't remove the doors anyway.

...

Well, it made for a nice drive.  Christine had lost some measurements she took earlier (that wasn't so samrt) so that we can replace the carpets in the bedrooms.  Those were taken again, and a few more things were dropped off, so it wasn't a wasted trip.

Everything seems to be holding up OK.  Here's a shot of our frozen beach (we own a beach!).  And judging from the top part of the picture, it would seem that some people have found a way to enjoy the frozen lake!  Maybe next year...Well, one thing at a time...
